MUST DO

  • Responsible for the maintenance of ranch equipment and assisting with the care of land and animals at Rocker W Ranch.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Ranch equipment.
  • Operate motor vehicles to transport materials and equipment as appropriate.
  • Assist with all aspects of animal care, including feeding, health, husbandry, and pasture management for wild sheep, whitetail and fallow deer, and Ibex.
  • Assist with the maintenance of Ranch grounds including but not limited to mowing, planting, spraying, light hauling, and tree and rock removal.
  • Trail maintenance and repair of fencing around the property.
  • Assist with other ranch duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At home with a country lifestyle and previous experience on a working ranch or farm preferred
  • Experience maintaining equipment, such as hand and power tools and heavy machinery
  • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to the trade, such as ATVs, chainsaws, log splitters, and other small equipment
  • Comfortable operating heavy machinery, such as tractors, mowers, and skid steers
  • Ability to work outdoors with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises
  • Ability to endure strenuous physical work, which may include carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching away from body, lifting, or manipulating heavy objects of 50+lbs
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and ability to solve problems and manage several tasks simultaneously

 

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 40 hours per week
  • On-site housing with utilities provided
